New Construction Walls Up Throughout Toon Lagoon in Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure

UPDATE: Construction Walls Removed, Kiddie Rides Tested

Over the past few days, new construction walls have popped up throughout Toon Lagoon in Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure. This is likely related to the rumored closure of the Barney the Dinosaur backyard area for a new kiddie area themed to Puss in Boots.

Yesterday, aerial photos were taken of the Islands of Adventure section of Universal Orlando Resort. These photos show the construction walls up throughout Toon Lagoon. Additionally, it appears that crews were testing some of the kiddie rides in the area, including the Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls and the Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges.

There is still no official word from Universal Orlando Resort about what is happening in Toon Lagoon. However, we will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
