Northern Lights May Be Visible in Michigan Tonight!
Recent reports and an aurora forecast say the aurora borealis may be visible across Michigan tonight.
The best time to view the Northern Lights is between 10 pm and 2 am, but they could be visible as early as 9 pm or as late as 3 am.
Observers should look north toward the horizon. The best viewing conditions are on nights with clear skies and little or no moonlight.
The Northern Lights are a natural light display that occurs when charged particles from the sun interact with Earth's atmosphere. The intensity of the lights can vary from a faint glow to a brilliant display of colors.
