BOSTON (CBS) - With the North End just a short walk away from the TD Garden, many Bruins fans stop by Mike's Barber Shop on Causeway Street before or after games.
The shop has been a neighborhood staple for decades, and it was recently voted the best barbershop in Boston and the South Shore by Improper Bostonian magazine.
"It's a great honor," said owner Mike Caputo. "We've been here for 50 years, and we're still going strong."
Caputo said he attributes the shop's success to its friendly staff, its convenient location, and its commitment to quality haircuts.
"We take our time with each customer," Caputo said. "We want to make sure they leave here looking their best."
The shop offers a variety of services, including haircuts, beard trims, and hot towel shaves. It also sells a variety of hair care products.
